Building Ownership from the Start: Siebert and Voices For Children Launch Financial Empowerment Initiative
Siebert Partners with Voices For Children to Bring Real Financial Access to Foster Youth in Miami-Dade
Siebert is proud to announce the launch of the Siebert x Voices Initiative, a financial empowerment program created in partnership with Voices For Children Foundation to serve young people in Miami-Dade County's foster care system.
At Siebert, this kind of partnership is a direct expression of who we are.
Our firm was built on the belief that financial access should not be a privilege. Muriel Siebert made that belief tangible when she became the first woman to own a seat on the New York Stock Exchange in 1967, joining an institution of 1,365 members, all of whom were men. Her path required persistence. Her application was rejected nine times. But she pushed forward, and in doing so, she proved that access denied is not access impossible. That conviction continues to shape every decision we make, including this one.
The Siebert x Voices Initiative was designed with that same spirit in mind. Young people in foster care are navigating some of the most complex transitions imaginable, often without the financial knowledge, tools, or relationships that could help them build stability. This program meets them where they are and goes further than most.
Participants will receive financial education through six Siebert-led masterclasses covering the financial system, investment products and strategies, portfolio tracking, and the future of finance. They will gain access to investment accounts through Siebert, receive initial seed capital to begin investing, and earn additional funding upon completing the curriculum. Beginning in 2027, the ABC’s, a charitable organization affiliated with the Gebbia Family, will provide annual contribution matching for five years.
This is not a one-time workshop. It is a relationship built for the long term.
“Financial freedom starts when someone believes they have access to the financial system too. This initiative is about more than teaching young people how investing works. It gives them real access, real capital, and real support. We want these young adults to see themselves as future investors, owners, and leaders.”
— Gloria Gebbia, Majority Shareholder, Siebert Financial
Voices For Children Foundation has spent years serving as a safety net for children and youth in foster care across Miami-Dade County, offering resources, advocacy, and opportunities designed to change life trajectories.
“This partnership with Siebert and the Gebbia Family gives young people education they can use, tools they can access, and a relationship that continues beyond a single moment.”
— Kadie Black, President and CEO, Voices For Children Foundation
We are grateful to Voices For Children and to the Gebbia Family for making this initiative possible. And we are especially grateful to the young people who will come to the table ready to learn, ready to grow, and ready to own a piece of their financial future.
Financial empowerment is not a product. It is a right. And expanding access to it, one person at a time, is the work that has defined Siebert for nearly six decades. This partnership is the latest chapter in that story, and we could not be more proud to write it.
